Virtual Coastal Recreation Hill Day is March 8-10. Virtual. Need to let National know by January 28th who is attending
Surfrider’s 2022 Virtual Coastal Recreation Hill Day! March 8-10, 2022
Surfrider is excited to announce that we’re in the planning stages of our 2022 Coastal Recreation Hill Day. This is one of Surfrider’s largest national events, in which chapters and volunteers from across the coastal US join in Washington DC to meet with our federal leaders to demand bold federal action to protect our ocean, waves and beaches. Not only does this federal advocacy help develop and implement important nationwide legislation and funding for ocean and coastal protection, it’s also a fantastic opportunity for volunteer growth, development, and networking across Surfrider’s vast community.
Due to COVID-19, next year’s event will be a virtual march to DC again. While we wish we could be with each other in person, this event will still be extremely impactful in a virtual setting, especially since it opens up the potential to have every chapter represented! We’re asking that each chapter interested in participating in 2022 Hill Day select one member to attend the event and represent the chapter during congressional meetings. The only requirement is for the volunteer that represents the chapter during Hill Day has to be available all day on at least one of the congressional meeting days (March 9 & 10, 2022).
